Pink Wednesdays Shine Light on Breast Cancer Awareness

Spread the love

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s time to think pink! Just like in Mean Girls, where “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink,” this month we proudly don pink, not just as a fashion statement, but as a powerful symbol of hope, strength, and solidarity in the fight against breast cancer. Whether you’re rocking pink on Wednesdays or raising awareness in your own unique way, October is the perfect time to show your support, spread awareness, and honor the warriors who face breast cancer head-on. Let’s wear our pink with purpose and make a difference together!

You Matter, So Embrace Breast Cancer Awareness

At LillyStrong, we encourage everyone to take control of their health by being purposefully active in preventative care. To mark breast cancer awareness month, let’s look at some proactive ways to protect your most valuable asset—you!

  • Get Healthy—Maintaining health and reducing stress can help reduce your risk of breast cancer. This includes evaluating your typical diet and exercise routines and making subtle changes where necessary.
  • Check Your Breasts Regularly- All women should check their breasts once a month. Read this for tips. Consult your doctor if you notice any changes.
  • Get Regular Mammograms—every other year starting at the age of 40. Read here for more information about mammograms.

It is important to stay on top of your health! Many states offer free or low-cost mammograms if you do not have health insurance. Do a little research to find the assistance you need. You are always your most influential advocate.
